The California Classic at Shady Oaks- September 27-29, Lodi, CA
The California Classic at Shady Oaks Combined Driving Event - one of the longest running combined driving events, on the west coast. In 1989 it moved to Pomona for a single year and then settled at Rolling Hills Estates south of Los Angeles for 11 years.
Last year we were please to announce the relocation of this premier event to the Grupe's 1200 acre ranch outside Lodi, California.
The Combined Driving Event (CDE) is modeled after the Three Day Event, which tests the overall condition and versatility of the horse in sport. His Royal Highness Prince Phillip was a major force in the design of the rules. University of California -Davis, CA. He will be giving a lecture on horse behavior as well as a demonstration using U.C. Davis horses. Cost for the full day is 20.00

June 15 Sierra Meadows Dressage Series with Ariane Rezvani
USDF Certified instructor though 2nd level, USDF Bronze Medalist, and Recommended "L" Judge, Ariane is a full-time trainer and riding instructor at her own Silver Cup Farm, in Fresno, CA. She is a contributing member of the Fresno CDS chapter, and has trained adult and junior riders to receive state awards. A student of Neils Hvass and Charles DeKunffy, and currently working with Albrecht Heidemann of Germany, Ariane has competed through 4th level. She is excellent at developing the foundations of balance, harmony, rhythm, tempo and impulsion for horses and riders to achieve their Dressage aspirations, with elegance and higher test scores.
Rider Experience: Current and new students of all ages are welcomed, beginner through 3rd level, who will be serious about riding, growing and showing. English tack required.

June 30 Dressage Test Strategy Clinic with Jennifer Roth
AHSA “R†Judge, USDF Bronze and Silver Medalist. Includes riding test score/consultation and private lesson. This Clinic is focused for serious amateur riders who already have experience in the basic Dressage aids, are currently showing or considering showing, and want to fine-tune their riding skills to improve their scores.
Rider Experience: Training Level thru Prix St.George. Beginners new to Dressage are encouraged to attend and must have English tack and be comfortable working at walk, trot and canter.
